The Elsevier Galien Award for Excellence in Biotechnological R&D (International) 2008
The biotechnology company PharmaMar, of Zeltia Group, has received the Elsevier Galien Award for Excellence in Biotechnological R&D, one of the annual prizes given by the Publishing Group Elsevier in recognition of the excellence and commitment of public and private institutions in benefit of research and health.
 
Sarcoma Foundation of America Award for Commitment to Research into Soft Tissue Sarcoma (International) 2008
The "Supporting a Cure in our Time" Award given by the Sarcoma Foundation of America (SFA) is awarded to PharmaMar for its “support to the search for an effective cure for soft tissue sarcomas”, which is the objective of the foundation.
 
FundaMed-El Global Award to the Career of Jose María Fernández Sousa-Faro (Spanish) 2008
The award is given by the Foundation of Sciences of Medicines and Healthcare Products (FundaMed) together with the weekly newspaper El Global. The award is in recognition of the vision of a man that found a source of new drugs in the world’s oceans.
 
Award for Innovation in the Category "The Best Health Ideas of the Year" (Spanish) 2008
This award is given by the Medical Journal of Spain to "…the daily work of individuals, institutions or companies that have helped with their contribution to improving medical care and health throughout 2008." The Medical Journal selected the journal article "Pivotal randomized Phase III Yondelis® trial in ovarian cancer, OVA-301” for this award.
 
RX Silver Award (International) 2008
The award was given to PharmarMar for its campaign "Yondelis® redesign the future of Soft Tissue Sarcoma (STS)". This award is one of the health communication competition’s most prestigious, whose selection criteria are based, exclusively, on the creative concept and execution.
 
Medical Economics Prize for the Research in Health and Medicine Promotion (Spanish) 2009
PharmaMar won in the category of Research in Health and Medicine Promotion. PharmaMar’s Chairman, Dr. Jose Maria Fernandez Sousa-Faro, collected the award given by Manuel García Abad.
 
Executives Award for Company of the Year (Spanish) 2008
Zeltia Group was given this award by Executive magazine for its innovation in pharmaceutical development.
 
Dossier Empresarial Award to PharmaMar´s Innovation (Spanish) 2009
The Dossier Empresarial business daily awarded its Innovation Prize 2009 to PharmaMar at its Economy and Business Night ceremony.

 

Top Managers Award to PharmaMar´s "R+D+i" (Spanish) 2009
The award was given by the Top Manager business magazine to PharmaMar in the category "R+D+i" for its vision of the sea as a source of drugs.
PharmaMar’s Chairman, Dr. Jose María Fernández Sousa-Faro, collected the award on behalf of the company.

 

The Elsevier Galien Award to Yondelis® for "Best Pharmaceutical Product of the Year" (International) 2009
Yondelis® (trabectedin) has been granted the Prix Galien Spain Award 2009 for "Best Pharmaceutical Product of the Year", one of two awards presented annually by the Elsevier group in recognition of excellence and commitment on the part of public and private institutions for the benefit of research and health.

 

"El Diamante de la Compra" award to the Purchasing Department in the category of "Purchasing Management" (Spanish) 2010
The PharmaMar Purchasind Department was awarded by AERCE in the first edition of the awards "El Diamante de la Compra" for the best projects of the year in Purchasing Departments. PharmaMar was awarded in the category of Purchasing Management for its plan of development, modernization, organization and continuous improvement of the purchasing department aligning with the strategic map of PharmaMar, so that contributes to the success of the company by providing the most value in all its processes.
