Madrid 24rd June 2010: The XIV Aspid Awards for Iberoamerican Health and Pharmaceuticals Advertising were presented at a ceremony in the Holiday Inn, Madrid, on 21 June; attending were over 300 professionals in the area of healthcare communications and the pharmaceutical industry. PharmaMar (ZEL.MC) received the Gold Aspid award for Best Stand Design for "Yondelis® redesigns the future of STS" (Soft Tissue Sarcoma). The stand was designed by Ogilvy Healthword Madrid.

In line with PharmaMar's creative strategy, the stand had to attain a high degree of visibility and recognition among attendees at the ECCO-ESMO meeting, Europe's largest oncology conference, in Berlin on 20-24 September. Through its design, plus the activities scheduled there and the information dynamics, the stand was required to contribute to exploiting the campaign concept to its fullest extent.

"The idea was to design a basic tool for communicating the message to oncologists, on that occasion principally to those who treat soft tissue sarcoma. So, we developed a stand that not only enhanced recognition of the Yondelis® brand but also transmitted PharmaMar's identity as an innovator and pioneer.”

This is the second Gold Aspid award for PharmaMar and Ogilvy Healthword for their work with Yondelis®, since the Yondelis® worldwide launch campaign obtained the award in 2008.
